Eligibility 

  • Applicants must be enthusiastic about biological science and be committed to work in discovery science at the Hunter College Belfer Research Alliance for 1 year full-time.

  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or permanent residents of the United States.

  • Applicants must have a B.S. or B.A. degree in a science field obtained less than 4 years prior to the August start date of the program. Extensions may be allowed for family leave, medical leave, or military service.

  • No previous immersion laboratory experience is required but previous classroom associated laboratories are mandatory.

  • While participating in NY-RaMP scholars cannot hold another job.

  • Individuals currently enrolled or accepted into a graduate program are not eligible.

  • Applications from members of under-represented groups or economically under-resourced backgrounds are especially welcome.
